Meet the Entrepreneur on July 27, 2022: "From a beer and 5 euros to a successful start-up" with Benjamin Naurath, BagsolateGmbH - REFRESHMENT INCLUDED!
In the one-hour events of the O/HUB series "Meet the Entrepreneur" once a month on Wednesdays, founders from the various faculties of the UR tell their founding stories and are then available to the participants for an intensive exchange. On Wednesday, July 27, 2022, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Benjamin Naurath from Bagsolate GmbH will report on his experiences under the title "From a beer and 5 euros to a successful start-up". The event takes place in the merchant vault in the meeting house of the University of Regensburg (Hinter der Grieb 8).
In 2018, four new business administration students were inspired by an information flyer in front of the canteen to take part in the student start-up competition "5-Euro-Business". They registered without a concrete project idea - they came up with it while brainstorming on the Danube: a functional and stylish insulating backpack.
They immediately won second prize in the competition, subsequently founded the company "BAGSOLATE" and won the "ISPO Brandnew 2021 Selection Award" in 2021. Technological development is currently being advanced: in a joint EU project with the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft, OLEDs are to be incorporated into the core design of the backpacks as a smart textile technology in order to make them glow. In his lecture, Benjamin Naurath reports how competitions, awards and partners can be used for successful corporate development, especially in the lifestyle sector, and what else needs to be considered on the way to one's own company.
At the end of the semester (and because it fits so well with the topic of the lecture), we have thought of a little "treat" for all participants: AFTER THE LECTURE, WE INVITE YOU TO A COOL DRINK IN THE HISTORICAL AMBIENCE OF THE MERCHANT'S VAULT!
